This project, located within the Oita maintenance area under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, involved widening pedestrian walkways, milling and overlaying the pavement, and installing traffic safety facilities to regulate heavy traffic on this road. While there were multiple construction sites, construction methods, traffic control measures, and considerations for neighboring residents were carefully planned and implemented at each site. Furthermore, individual workers conducted thorough risk assessments and implemented safety measures. This ensured that all workers were mindful of safety protocols and responsive to the work environment, preventing public accidents and ensuring their own safety. As a result of these efforts, the construction was completed without any incidents, and the road was reopened by the client’s deadline. These achievements were recognized and honored with the award.
