Pavement repair work on National Route 107 in the Nakamura area and other sections

This project involved pavement repair work on three bridges located at separate points along National Route No. 107, as well as on sections of the roads connected to these bridges. Since the construction sites were scattered, the project required investigating pavement composition and road slab conditions. This initially suggested a longer construction period. However, the swift execution of the work resulted in its completion within the originally planned timeframe. Various measures were employed for this project, including using L-shaped molded joint materials to waterproof pavement ends and applying PKMT-Q as a tack coat to prevent damage to the road surface. Additionally, the project included regional contribution activities, such as offering internships to provide hands-on experience with on-site work. The project area had a long, straight road where vehicles tend to accelerate. Therefore, extensive safety measures including reinforcement of safety facilities were implemented to ensure safety during construction. Additionally, a website was utilized as an additional measure to distribute information about the construction to road users. These measures implemented for this project were highly recognized.
