MR² Method
Repair work for the top section of manholes
Outline
MR2 Method is a repair technique for the top section of manholes.
This technique allows for the low-noise, low-vibration, and quick elimination of level differences between the top of a manhole and the surrounding pavement surface, as well as replacement work due to aging or deterioration of the iron cover or frame. This technique is space-efficient and cost-effective. It can be safely implemented at night and in residential areas. The pavement around a manhole is vulnerable to damage due to insufficient compaction. This technique prevents insufficient compaction, which can occur because of factors like temperature drops, because the pavement around a manhole is constructed with a cold mix. MR2 Hybrid is used as the surface course material.
Features
- The Manhole Remover operates with low noise and minimal vibration.
- The MR2 Mortar, which hardens extremely quickly without shrinking, can significantly reduce work time.
- The road can be reopened to traffic in less than two hours from the start of the work, making this technique ideal for heavy traffic areas.
- Using spacers allows construction to be carried out on slopes and uneven road surfaces.
- Traffic obstacles, such as level differences from road pavement work, can be eliminated, and road flatness can be improved.
Applications
- Repairs in areas where noise and vibration need to be minimized, such as during nighttime and in residential areas
- Repairs in high-traffic areas and areas where road closures are not possible
- Repairs in areas where roads need to be reopened to traffic quickly
