SURFTREAT Construction Method
Surface treatment construction method using asphalt emulsion
Overview
The SURFTREAT construction method is a preventive maintenance technique that revitalizes aged pavements and those with rough surfaces through surface treatment.
This technique uses ST ZOL, a modified asphalt emulsion with inorganic fillers, along with ST SAND.
Features
- This product is waterproof and weather-resistant, which helps extend the service life of pavements.
- The price is lower than that of a thin-layer overlay, making it more cost-effective.
- Since cold mix application is possible, it is more eco-friendly.
- The product’s optimal texture improves skid resistance.
Applications
- Improving the texture depth of paving that has undergone surface roughening
- Protection of the paving surface (inhibition of degradation and weathering)
- Deletion of airport markings
